We recognise that, in order to deliver great work to our customers, a happy, motivated team of people is essential. Here's how we make it happen:
A great place to work
By looking after our staff, and providing a good work/life balance, we're repaid with loyalty and long-term commitment to the company.
We invest heavily in ongoing training to help our staff to meet their full potential - whether it's improving communication and leadership, or meeting the changing demands of the industry.
With a turnover of £9m, resulting from steady organic growth, our staff know they're in safe hands. Profits are typically reinvested within the business, in order to maintain growth and stability.
Investing in apprenticeships
We have both on-site and office-based apprentices, and we're proud to steward them through the early years of their careers. The whole team was thrilled when John Perkins' Carpentry Apprentice Kai Douglas was named Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Construction) at the 2017 Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Awards.
Excellent Health & Safety record
Our Health & Safety record speaks for itself: no RIDDOR reports, Improvement Notices, Prohibition Notices or Fees for Intervention in the last five years.
Equal opportunity employer
We hire staff from a variety of backgrounds, because we believe diversity makes for a stronger company and a more balanced business.
Pride and passion
“John Perkins Construction’s approach to problem-solving remained positive and clear in looking to meet a mutually-acceptable outcome. Communication regarding all aspects of the project was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending the company.”
