Commercial Director appointed as John Perkins Construction plans for the future

10th July 2019 |

In order to put itself in the best position for future growth, John Perkins Construction is fine-tuning its senior management team.

As of 1 August 2019, Alex Jenkins will move up to the position of Commercial Director, following a highly successful stint as Commercial Manager.

Alex joined the company in 2014 as a Quantity Surveyor and, since then, he has worked hard to establish himself as a leading force within John Perkins Construction. As Commercial Director, Alex will be able to play a key role in taking the business to the next level.

As an additional change, Graeme Young has chosen to reshape his role as Operations Manager. After initially considering retirement, Graeme felt he still had plenty to add to the team at John Perkins Construction. By mutual agreement with the directors, he will therefore continue in a part-time role from 1 August, helping to oversee the production side of the business.

Since joining the company in 2016, Graeme has provided strategic leadership that has allowed the company to take on bigger projects without sacrificing John Perkins Construction’s reputation for customer focus.

Rob Yeandle, Managing Director of John Perkins Construction, comments: “Alex and Graeme are vital members of the John Perkins team. Modifying their roles in this way allows us to capture their ideas and energy in the most effective way possible.”

He adds: “The construction industry is constantly changing, which means we must continually stave off complacency and ensure we’re maintaining our top-quality workmanship and collaborative working practises. Putting the best people in the right roles is a vital component of this.”
