JPC makes its mark on South Wales with new office and new projects

31st May 2022 |

John Perkins Construction has moved its Newport base to bigger, brighter premises, reflecting the growth of its business in South Wales.

In addition to the Bristol office in St George, you’ll now find JPC at 5 Gold Tops, Newport, NP20 4PG. The office forms part of a Construction Hub at Gold Tops, giving the opportunity to work alongside architects, engineers, design managers and more. Close to the train station, the new office also has excellent access to the M4, making it easy to visit.

“Our previous office in Newport was a modest affair,” comments Alex Jenkins, Commercial Director of JPC. “At Gold Tops, we’re in the thick of things. It was the right time to make the move to bigger premises. We want to invest in the Welsh market, secure more projects and produce new employment opportunities.”

John Perkins Construction has made huge progress in South Wales over the last year, with several significant projects either on site or in the pipeline. The Newport Mind HQ is just one example. JPC is working with the charity to carry out an upgrade of its premises to provide improved facilities for the people and the communities of Newport, including new fit-for-purpose rooms for meetings, training, counselling and activities.

“I’m buzzing about all the great work we’re doing in South Wales,” says Alex Jenkins. “We have a varied client base already, with an interesting mix of new build and refurbishment projects. I’ve lived in Newport all my life and it’s fantastic to be creating a presence here. I can’t wait to point out local landmarks to my son and say, ‘we built this, we built that.’”

He adds, “I think JPC’s future in Wales looks bright. I’d like to build long-term relationships with clients in Newport and beyond; become a name that’s well known, with a good reputation. My ultimate goal is for us to give back to the community like we’ve done in Bristol.”
